Interior Inspiration - Ink Hues
The interior design world is going 'grown up' for 2015, with a sophisticated palette of ink blue, paired with greys of all shades and accents of black. It's a moody, modern mix that will really bring a sense of style to any space. Here's some of our favourite inky interiors...
The bedroom is the perfect spot to try out this dreamy colour palette of deep blues, black and grey, as the look can easily be achieved through just your bed linen. Don't you just want to jump under those covers with a good book? White walls help to keep the space still looking fresh and bright.
Making use of different natural textures (soft wool, linen, ceramics, timber) keeps a more refined colour palette from looking cold or boring. We love the black chair with the faux fur slung over it, although we think one of our designer beanbag chairs - in grey - would look gorgeous here too!
We're just a little bit obsessed with ink-blues right now, they're such a classy and contemporary choice. See how well they pair with soft grey and punches of black? The only thing this space needs is a better coffee table! One of our low, round beanbag ottomans would be perfect here, mirroring the circular shape in the art and the bowls.
An easy update to add sophisticated impact to your bedroom - an ink blue feature wall. Pair with some grey bed beauties (as they've done with the wool blanket and big cushions here) and you've got a whole new look.
Ah navy blue, as timeless as a good pair of jeans. Love that gallery wall of black-framed, black and white pictures, too. One of our giant floor cushions (in soft grey) would be perfect on those cold floorboards!
Velvet is back on-trend again, lending an up-scale European feel to interiors. This ink blue velvet ottoman and cushion are absolutely gorgeous. Using materials with plenty of texture ensures your dark-hued room still feels lived-in and inviting.
Cushions are like affordable little pieces of art - that you can change up and move around to create fresh new looks. The ottoman is in the right colour, but it doesn't look all that stable! One of our designer beanbag ottomans (in graphite grey or even indigo blue) would look great here.
